The Elysian Fields Wines

Elysian Fields White is a still, medium dry table wine, with well developed fruit flavour and is bottle matured for at least a year. It will continue to develop and improve in the bottle for at least another two years after that. We have recently planted 500 red grape vines and have been producing red and rose wines since 2007 vintage.

Our 2005 vintage was entered in East Anglian Wine of the Year Competition and was awarded a Bronze Medal and Quality Wine Status.

The Following wines have been produced from the Elysian Fields Vineyard but not all of them are available in every outlet listed on the Where to buy page.

  • 2007 Medium White
A light fragrant wine with citrus undertones
  • 2008 Medium Dry White
This is a more complex wine than the 2007. You may detect a hint of peach and apple and with a lingering finish. Only a few cases left.
  • 2009 Medium Dry White.
This wine was awarded a Bronze Medal in the East Anglian Wine Growers 2010 competition . It is still developing and maturing in the bottle and should be drinking well by Christmas 2010 At 11% alc it is more robust than the previous years wines and is very fragrant on the nose.
  • 2008 Rose' Medium Dry
This enchanting pink wine was Highly Commended in the 2009 E.A.W.G. Competition. It was made from our Madeline Angevine grapes and is light and refreshing and the 5% Rondo grapes that were used to give the rose colour have added a layer of strawberry and raspberry to the finish. Less than a hundred bottles left.
  • 2009 Rose' Medium Dry
This is a similar wine to the 2008 but it just missed out on an award in the 2010 E.A.W.G. competition. It is slowly maturing and will be resubmitted next year.
  • 2009 Pinot Noir Ruby Rose'
This ruby coloured wine packs in huge amounts of berry flavours. Blackcurrent, raspberry and blackberry are all there as you would find in a good red wine but without the tannins to mask the flavours. Best served chilled but you cound drink it as a light red wine. This wine was not bottled until after this years competition so no awards but we expect it to sell out as it did last year.
